About Us...

Terri met Scott in the Owens Valley, California in 1987. Terri didn't know a thing about flying and at the time was happy to leave the flying to Scott. Terri, however is a great driver, who actually enjoys it and can drive most anything, most anywhere.  Terri drives for the majority of Scott's adventures and can proudly say she has never lost him. Terri has been seen in the most remote of locations, standing by the road side or in a field throwing dirt or holding toilet paper streamers to indicate the wind direction for Scott. Terri's  flying began in 1988 with a brief time of hang gliding then moving on to become one of the earliest 200 members of the American Paragliding Association. Terri learned to fly Paragliders in the Owens Valley in the early days of the sport. Terri is currently learning to fly the Ultralights. Scott and Terri managed the 1849 condominiums at Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort for the first eight years together, flying and traveling on their time off. They then decided to move to Washington to pursue a dream of full time flying. Terri has worked at various careers over the past years, while the business was growing, including a machine shop, grocery store, home health care and real estate appraisal. Why do just one thing when you can do it all. In 2004 Terri was able to join in full time at U.S. AirBorne. Terri enjoys riding her Sea Doo, rafting and kayaking on the nearby waterways. Interest also includes riding her motorcycle, biking, reading, working puzzles, hiking and FLYING.

Chopper is quite a character he is a yellow naped macaw and it never ceases to amaze us how many people reach out and ask Chopper to bite them. Chopper is a great bird, but you got to understand the rules. Rule number One - Chopper will look so cute you will want to touch him, don't he bites. Rule Number two - Scott is Choppers best friend and he protects him, so please refer to rule number one. Scott and Terri have lived with Chopper since 1994 when we brought him home as a baby. Chopper travels with them and has had much practice at being part of the chase crew. Chopper does amazingly well at airshows and traveling from one location to another. Chopper talks and laughs a lot, but mostly when home with Scott and Terri. When you're around Scott and he has a lump on his chest or back, the lump is Chopper, he loves to hang out with Scott sleeping in his shirt or coat. Choppers second favorite is Terri, allowing her to feed and play with him. Terri gets an occasional kiss or two when Scotts out of town. Chopper traveled for many years with his old friend Ray, also a Dobie, who moved to the next realm Sept 2004. They were quit a team. Now Chopper has a new puppy to train, Sundance.

Sundance is Scott, Terri and Chopper's Dobie. Sundance entered our family in March 2006. Sundance was born January 5, 2006. The first thing Chopper said to him was "hello pretty baby" and he still calls him baby. Sundance is now learning the ropes. There is a lot to learn and see and do. He is a beautiful, energetic boy just loving life. Sundance's favorite place is the airpark where he can stretch his legs and chase butterflies. Sundance is a great swimmer and enjoys time spent at the river swimming and running around.....
